Hello everyone! Becca here

Recently, I’ve been getting a ton of questions regarding my intriguing journey: how did a mental health nurse like me transition into the VA industry and subsequently grow a successful VA company? Here’s my story!

The Unexpected Start

It still baffles me to think about my journey into the VA industry. On paper, I was a mental health nurse, yet somehow I ended up in this realm of Digital Marketing and Virtual Assistance. The inception of this journey began about four years ago when I felt discontented in my nursing role. Although it paid the bills, it lacked the fulfillment I yearned for.

The Digital Marketing Dive

To quench my thirst for something more nourishing, I dove into the world of Digital Marketing. It started with creating websites, doing SEO, and understanding the various nuances of online branding. However, I quickly realized the workload was taxing.

The Allure of Efficiency

I’ve always been an “Efficiency Queen.” I thrive on creating systematic processes and letting others handle them. This led me to explore the option of hiring Virtual Assistants (VAs) to ease my workload. Initially, I felt I wasn’t big enough to hire one, but mentorship and mindset groups pushed me out of that limiting belief.

Becoming an Accidental VA Recruiter

As I began hiring and training VAs for SEO tasks, my peers took notice of my amplified business output. Soon enough, they approached me to hire VAs for them. I realized there was a niche here: entrepreneurs needed a reliable VA recruitment service. So, I pivoted and chose to become the bridge between capable VAs and businesses that needed them.

Growth and Evolution

Over the years, what started as SEO-focused assistance grew to include roles like social media managers, web developers, sales experts, and more. The gratitude we receive from our clients is heartwarming and a testament to the efficiency and dedication of our VAs.

Empowerment on Both Ends

One aspect of this business that truly resonates with me is the opportunity it provides. Our VAs, many from underprivileged backgrounds, have been able to significantly improve their lifestyles. On the other hand, our clients find more time and space to be creative in their businesses, focusing on growth rather than routine tasks.

Business – A Reflection of Self

Building a business is a soul-enriching experience, akin to being in a relationship. Just as relationships expose your vulnerabilities, so does entrepreneurship. It forces you to face your weaknesses and grow from them. And just like in relationships, surrounding yourself with empowering individuals makes the journey worthwhile.

To budding entrepreneurs feeling overwhelmed or unfulfilled, don’t lose hope. Sometimes, you need to let go of what no longer serves you to make room for better opportunities. Always remember, your team is an extension of you. Nurture them, be open to their feedback, and grow together.

Thank you for joining me on this trip down memory lane. If my journey resonates with you, I’d love to hear your story too!
